Hmm. [01 Jun 2009|01:34pm] [ mood | confused ] So I finally watched Twilight and it was physically painful. Why? Because I couldn't stop laughing and cringing at the same time. Don't get me wrong -- the movie was entertaining, but holy mother, Kristen Stewart (among others) cannot act her way out of a paper bag. Also, the relationship between Bella and Edward is beyond shallow. And I will never understand why girls would want him as a boyfriend -- he's a creepy, self-loathing, over-protective stalker. SERIOUSLY, LADIES? 2

It might also just be because it's sooooo cold right now (when the weather reports say that tomorrow will be 'brutally cold', that's bad, right?) that I feel like I'm in a major funk... On another note, I kind of miss being a freshman. You get away with so much more... really.

And according to IMDB, Bale DOES do the voice for Thomas. Hahah -- seriously... this man is EVERYWHERE. In other news, my semester abroad in China is approaching ever so quickly. Ahh -- anybody have ideas on small gifts I can bring over and give to Chinese people? I'm bring pounds of Sourpatch Kids over to sustain myself... Edit: The Dark Knight in IMAX is the way to go. In all honesty, 20 is kind of a useless number... right at the threshold of 21. ;~; I baked my twin and I a beastly cake though. It was much more satisfying than buying a cake, and darn tasty too. ( BEHOOOOLDDDD! ) My first 20 years were kind of uneventful, but here's to accomplishing something worthwhile and memorable in the next 20 years. :] 13

I've been interning in New York City for the most part for a NGO, which isn't all that amazing, but it gets me a pass into the UN, which is very cool. When I'm not hauling my lazy ass into the city, I am eating my weight in baked goods. ( NSFW -- Food pornography. ) I am 'hella' exciting. 7

This or that? [27 Apr 2008|08:07pm] [ mood | sore ] I wonder which is more of a bad-ass story for explaining my black/blue eye: saying I got into a fistfight with someone because she was mackin' on my (nonexistent!) man OR getting knocked over in a moshpit only to have a dude's ass land on my head and squash my eyeball. (The latter is true. Dropkick Murpheys do things to Boston area folks...) Finals are about to kick my ass too. Battle on. Edit: I am completely and totally infatuated with this kid in my international economics class. He's a year older but he has the droopy eyelids with really thick, dark eyelashes that make him look like a sleepy puppy and then a goofy grin that reminds me so much of Daniel Radcliffe. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. At least I'll fail this exam with this adorable boy nearby... :D 3

In other news, I am almost halfway done with undergraduate... slightly depressing. I am super pumped to go to China this coming fall and then Washington DC in spring 2009, but also quite nervous. It took me awhile to adjust to college so I'm hoping I'll be fine transitioning into these places when the time comes. Oooh... and just wondering, to people who keep a real journal (you know, a private one), what kinds of things do you write about? I want to start keeping one but I feel like I have nothing to write about. 4

On an arduous note, midterm season is horrific, especially because it's right before spring break. But on a happier note, I'm studying abroad the entire year starting next fall! China for fall semester and then Washington DC for the spring. I'm super excited (especially since this means I don't have to worry about the housing shitshow going on at my uni...geez.)
